A platformer made in one day (about 8 hours of work) for the Ludum Dare 26 compo, whose theme was Minimalism.
My idea was to reduce graphics to an extremely primal form (basic geometry shapes, only 2 colors) while putting together many classic mechanics of the genre to craft a short, intensive, authentic platforming experience. In other words, it is an attempt to distill a generic platform game to extract its essence and put it alone into an abstract game.
As for the Ludum Dare compo's rules, I worked alone and made everything by myself, including the (extremely basic) graphics, sound effects and music. The most interesting tasks were the following:
- Programming: implementation of basic platforming mechanics.
- Level Design: construction of 4 short, intensive levels.
- Game Design: concept of the game.
